Annual Workshop:
NMAP holds annual conferences aimed at training utilities companies in the issues concerning birds and power structures, particularly avian protection plans. The 6th Avian Electrocution & Collision Prevention Workshop was held February 27 - March 1, 2007 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and included an APLIC Short Course. Approximately 100 people attended, representing utilities, agencies, and companies from 7 states in the southwest. Golden Eagle Awards:
Our Golden Eagle Awards recognize exceptional contributions to avian conservation. Awards are given for proactive and responsible management of communication facilities, electrical utilities, oil and gas companies, and wind turbine resources in New Mexico.
